What Does This Finding Of Transvaginal Ultra Sound Scan During Early Pregnancy Indicate?

I just had a transvaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks and there was some flecks that were suggested to be blood or other debris in the gestational sac. Can you tell me what this means or the possible causes. I have been having some very light dark spotting periodically.

Hi

Spotting at 6 weeks of pregnancy is not necessarily dangerous.Mild spotting can occur in certain women. As long as the gestation sac is visible and heart beat can be detected, safe pregnancy is confirmed.

Avoid stress and get maximum bed rest.Any progesterone hormone deficiency should be treated.

Any abdominal cramps or excess bleeding requires immediate attention.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
