General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about your wife having right small kidney, left enlarged kidney, high blood pressure but normal creatinine and GFR values, not diabetic.
One of the reasons for raised blood pressure is a problem in kidneys wherein the chemicals produced by kidney have direct effect on blood pressure.Since one kidney is small the physiological function is overworking to produce more Renin- Angiotensin that keep the blood pressure elevated.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
First of all consult your Urologist/ Nephrologist for further proper clinical evaluation, examination and to go for further detailed investigations to know the cause so that an appropriate management can help to have proper control of blood pressure and avoid further complications of the kidney condition as well as that of high blood pressure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
