Hello Doctor... My mom found a lump on her right breast. She had undergone a mammogram and fnac.. The result says: Moderate cellular smears show few loose cohesive clusters and occasional disassociated ductal epithelial cells.Ductal cells show moderate to marked cellular and nuclear pleomorphism increased nuclear cytoplasmic ratio round to oval hypergeometric nuclei irregular nuclear margins and moderate to scanty cytoplasm. No bare nuclei are seen. Background shows blood.. Diagnosis...suggestive of carcinoma breast.. Doctor What does this result mean?? Can we know the stage??
Based on the FNAC report, it states that the findings are suggestive of cancer of the breast. To stage the condition, it would need clinical examination findings, radiological findings and histopathology report.
Kindly, consult Surgeon in this regard for complete evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
