Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This Neck MRI Result For Pain Under Collar Bone And Shoulder Indicate?
I have had moderate to severe pain under my collar bone into shoulder and inner arm (bicep) right to the inner elbow. I have had X-ray and ultrasound of the shoulder and a MRI of the neck and tried all natural treatments. I have a thick cord like vine bulging under my arm pit ? I don t know if this has any bearing on this pain but it does hurt in the arm pit. It is like a line from under my collar bone to the inner elbow. Depending on what I do the worse the pain. Bicep feels permantly flexed. My GP just says it is nerve pain and that is it but have never even looked at it. So not want to be on meds and want to get it diagnosed so I can treat properly.
As per my clinical experience, the pain under collar bone and shoulder do suggest possible issue with nerve conduction defect. The MRI of the brachial plexus is badly needed to look into the matter of possible cause and management guidelines. If the reports are available with you, kindly share with me during follow up discussion.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
