What Does This Scan Report During Pregnancy Indicate?
i am pregnant 7 weeks , then i have done the ultrasound but the problem is the result of the ultrasound is appears empty with fetal pole appreciated as of yet. there is minimal subchorionic hemorrhage seen .. what was the problem is it normal im 25 years old, 5,4 110 kl. im pregnant for my second child
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.Transabdominal ultrasound in early pregnancy sometimes do not show the fetal pole, in such situation transvaginal ultrasound should be done to confirm the fetal pole and cardiac activity. It should be visible by 7 weeks of pregnancy. Subchorionic haemorrhage is the bleeding in the fetal membranes and it usually resolves with time. If the fetal node is not visible even on transvaginal ultrasound, then I would suggest you to repeat an ultrasound after 1 week, as sometimes there is delayed ovulation, delayed conception and hence the ultrasound shows finding a bit delayed. If fetal pole is not visible even then, then it Mau be a blighted ovum with no fetal pole and termination of pregnancy is the treatment. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
