What Does This Semen Analysis Indicate?

Hi Doctor,

Could some one suggest on my below report.

SEMEN ANALYSIS.

RESULT:

BIOLOGICAL REFERENCE RANGE

Macroscopic

Volume 2 - 5 ml ,Colour:Greyish White,Reaction / pH :5.8 - 7.5 ,Viscocity :Viscid, Opaque ,Liquefaction time:15Minutes ,Sperm Count:35 Millions/ml ,Agglutination :Absent ,

Motility *:Progressive Motility :10% ,,Non Progressive Motility :20% ,,Non motile :70%

MORPHOLOGY

Normal forms :80%,Abnormal forms:20% ,Pus Cells :3-4/HPF

Impression :Asthenospermia

Motility: ‎The lower reference limit for total motility ‎(‎Progressive ‎+ ‎Non‎-‎Progressive‎) ‎is ‎40‎% ‎

Method ‎: ‎Microscopy ‎/ ‎Neubauers chamber ‎/ ‎H ‎& ‎E stain

Hello

Your report suggest decreased sperm motility.
Active motility should be at least 55 %.Your report suggests 70 % non motile forms.
Reports suggests sperm count,morphology,liquefaction time etc are normal.
Normally sperm count should be at least 20 millions/ml.

You may also need culture and sensitivity of semen due to presence of few pus cells.It is important to exclude infection.

You should take nutritious food and do exercise.
If low motility perisists then you may need assisted fertilization techniques like IUI.
