What Does This Spirometry Test Result Indicate While Having COPD?
hello there! I was diagnosed with COPD in August last year. The Spirometry results showed my fev1 was 2.81 ml. I went back for another spirometry test today and Fev1 was down to 2.54 ml/. How can it go down so much in only 8 months. It is almost 300 ml. Is that normal? I am 48 years old.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, with the history of chronic pulmonary obstructive disease such result of Spirometry is likely and this is not much to worry because important is clinical symptoms even with this result if you are doing well then this is nothing to worry, because even with this result one can adopt the best way, and breathing may not cause any difficulty, hope this information helps, take care.
