What Does This Ultrasound Report Specify About Uterine Fibroid?
Hi, I am 26 years old with a uterine fibroid. kindly see below for the details. I will appreciate if you could please explain better to me. Thanks . non gravid, bulky uterus with heterogenerous myometrial echo-texture. it measured about 84mm in its AP diameter . uterine outline is lobulated . however, about two (2) solid mixed echogenic masses are seen within the uterus. they are about 64mm x 54mm, and 42mm x 37mm in sizes. . pouch of douglas appear normal .adnexae is free of abnormalities.
Hi Welcome to HCM, according to your Ultrasound report there are two fibroids in the uterus. but first of you have to explain, is there any symptoms?? do you have heavy menstural bleeding? or irregular menstural bleeding?? If there are no symptoms then watchful waiting is the best option as fibroids are not cancerous and they do not interfere with pregnancy. In case of symptoms there are many treatment options like contraceptive pills which regulate the cycle as well as decrease menstural bleeding. Others are Gonadotropin-releasing hormone and some non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. hope so it will be helpful. you can write again for any query. Regards
