General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The USG report shows enlargement of both ovaries due to collected immature follicle in ovary. This indicates polycystic ovarian syndrome. This results in failure of ovulation. Care consists of restricted diet, regular exercises to maintain ideal weight for your height and age. You need to get the condition investigated, followed by specific treatment to resume normal ovulation. This is essential before you plan for a baby. Please consult a gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
