What Does This Ultrasound Test Result For Uterus During Pregnancy Indicate?

Hi Doctor... i am in 39 weeks. doctor told that my amniotic fluid is excess. In scan report it was mentioned as AFI =16,Presentation - Cephalic,Placenta - Anterior,Head mobile. My edd is on Sep 16,2015. But still baby s head is not fixed. Will i undergo C sec? please help

Thank you for asking at HCM.
I carefully read your question and understand your concern.
If you had a normal morphological ultrasound at 18-22 weeks of gestation than many problems with the baby are ruled out.
Very likely you are doing well and there is no need to worry, an AFI (amniotic fluid) of 16 is within normal range. If the baby is head down (cephalic) that is great, if not engaged yet this is not of concern, you do have time for the head to be engaged. The need for C section comes if baby is not presented well and problems in engagement happen especially during labor. A gynae visit during delivery will make this known and than decision on C section will be made if the baby is found to not be well positioned in the birth canal, but you are still early now to decide this and can not be decided unless labor starts.
