I had my urinalysis while ago and the results were like this; color is yellow, character is clear, reaction is acidic, and the specific gravity is 1.030.The plus cells is 4-6/HPF, the RBC 0-2/HPF, the epithelial, mucus and bacteria are few...Doc, can you please read the results...thanks and hoping for your answer.
Hello, this is probably a normal urinalysis. I've used the word 'probably' because a doctor can - almost - never assess the results of tests without knowing the patient's medical history. For example, normally white blood cells in the urine can be detected only within a narrow range (0-2 per high power field). If the patient had dysuria then the doctor could evaluate even mild elevations of white blood cells as a urinary tract infection. In your case, if you had no symptoms then you shouldn't worry about anything. Usually in urinary tract infections the white blood cells count is high and the bacteria are many. One important note: in most cases the number of epithelial cells helps the doctor evaluate whether you gave an adequate specimen or not. Too many epithelial cells may mean that the specimen is not as good as it was supposed to be and the results won't be that accurate. You haven't provided the complete results so I can't make a more specific assessment. I hope I've addressed your concerns! If you need further information on the subject, please ask me again! Kind Regards!
