Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my widal results are as follows T.O: 1/40 (-) T.H: 1/40 (-) Para -AO: 1/40 (-) Para - AH: 1/40 (-) Para - BO: 1/40 (++++), 1/80 (+++). 1/160 (++). 1/320 (+) Para -BH: 1/40 (-) Note: Para -BO: 1/640 (+/-) Can you please let me know what does this mean? Do I have salmonella? What kind is this? Is it possible I went through typhoid while I was in Burma last month?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the result may be suggestive of typhoid and may not be because it is depends upon the clinical condition if the test is being taken at the time of clinical febrile conditions in active phase of infection then it may be positive one and if the test being taken in post treated phase then it may show positive finding but the clinical condition may not suggestive of this, Hope this information helps.
