What Does This Widal Test While Suffering From Typhoid Indicate?

Hi. Hello. I am srinivas, age 31 years. I have suffering typhoid last 4 months. Two days back done blood widal test, s.typhi O - positive 1:160 dilution, s.typhi H- positive 1:80 dilutions s.para typhi A (H) B (H): negative. What will be done?

Thanks for writing to HCM.

These test results indicate that you have typhoid. However local titre has to be compared before concluding. All you have to do is to visit a local physician and he would give you the treatment. Treatment for typhoid includes antibiotics (flouroquinolone group), antipyretic for temperature (paracetamol), adequate hydration and nutrition.
