What Does Tingling Sensation In The Forearm After An Injury Indicate?

I recently injured my arm right above the elbow and the elbow area. It was compressed between a boat and a dock. I can move it, but is bruised and tingling, sometimes shoots pain down my forearm- was swollen and very tender for a day or so, but swelling has gone down. Should I go have an x-ray or do you believe it is just badly bruised?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You should do an x-ray to see if it is broken or cracked.
The sensation you have is due to edema and trauma and most probably will go away when it is healed.
Keep it with cold compresses for 48 hours.
Take ibuprofen for inflammation and pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
