What Does Traces Of Albumin And Plenty Of Pus Cells In Urine Analysis Indicate?

hi i am 24yrs old girl and i am having pain and burining sensation while passing urine since 2 days.i also have back pain,abdomenal pain and body pains.also a swelling in my feet.i have gone through complete urine examination. result showa albumin:trace,specific gravity:1.010,reaction:acidic,pus cells:plenty/HPF,epethelial cells:3-4/HPF,RBC'S:2-3/HPF.Can you please recommend me what i have to do in this case(any medicines)?

Hello,

Findings suggest urinary tract infection(UTI). UTI indicated by excessive pus cells, RBC in the urine. RBC in urine may be due to UTI. Other findings like epithelial cells and trace amounts of albumin are normally found in urine.

You need clinical correlation and investigations like routine hemogram, renal function test, urine culture, and sensitivity, and ultrasound of the abdomen. Nitrite test and leukocyte esterase test can be done for confirmation of UTI. Proper antibiotics prescribed after culture and sensitivity reports. You should drink plenty of fluids.
