What Does Typhi O 1:80 And Typhi H 1:320 Indicate?

Hi sir, My mom aged 52 suffering from typoid fever for past 15 days,done widal test it shows typhi o 1:80 and typhi h 1:320. she took ciprofloxacin for 7days and she followed strict diet taken curd rice and fresh juices only, and she had typoid vaccine on 26th may. on 3-6-2014 again she done widal test but the titre doesnt decreased, report shows typhi o 1:80 and typhi h 1:320. What the cause for the titre is in the same level? What treatment should do now? Kindly, waiting for ur reply thank you,

hi, your widal test is positive on first occasion, and you took the right treatment for that, however the titer afterwards may rise due to vaccination also. so don't worry only rising titer is significant, you don't have rising titer and you have vaccination also. just go for titer again after a week. it will fall down. so don't worry regarding titer, if you still have fever or any other symptoms of typhoid then go to the doctor and take treatment accordingly. otherwise don't worry for that.
