Hi, I'm concerned about the presence of epithelial cells in my urine. My urinalysis results are as follows: Color: Straw Transparency: Clear Reaction (pH): 6.0 Specific Gravity: 1.010 Sugar: Negative Protein: Trace Pus Cells: 0-5/HPF Red BLood Cells: 0-2/HPF Bacteria: Moderate Epithelial cells: Few
Hello and welcome to HCM, The interpretation of urine analysis is as follows: The physical characters of urine i.e. color, transparency, reaction and specific gravity is within normal limits. Absence of proteins and sugar in urine is also a normal finding. Presence of pus cells in urine suggest infection in the urinary tract. Red blood cells and epithelial cells can accompany pus cells in urine. You need to consult your doctor with urine report for prescription of antibiotic.
