What Does Vaginal Bleeding After Unprotected Sex Suggest?
Hello, I wanted to ask about the effectiveness of my birth control at the current moment. I know you are supposed to take the pill every night at the same time but lately I take it around the same time every day not the exact time, is that going to really effect my use of my birth control? Also last night I was drinking and I didn t miss my pill but this morning I woke up and was bleeding, I don t understand why. I was wondering is alcohol misses with my birth control. I m sexually active and usually use condoms but didn t last night so this random bleeding is confusing and worrying me.
I think the bleeding you had is not much related to pregnancy. You were taking contraception pills regularly so you are protected from pregnancy. The bleeding may be related to any anatomical issues such fybromyoma or polyps or column uteri diseases. Do an ultrasound and a pap smear.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
