What Does Vaginal Bleeding During Intercourse Indicate?

I had an IUD put in July 2017, and have not had any issues per se but few weeks ago experienced some bleeding during intercourse bright red in color. I have had two pregnancies via c-section and have a new partner I m involved with. I m 46 and this bleeding eases up and it s just scanty and light pink tinge and only comes about when I wipe after urinating or have orgasm but nothing major just scanty light pink tinge in color on a panty liner. No flow of any sort. Went to my doctor a week ago and he gave me some provera to straighten things up but noticed today that there s no tinge color or anything until I have sex or orgasm and then I have this spotting. Could you please tell me what may be the case for this?

Hi,
Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
With bleeding at sex or porgasm... I would like you to check your cervix.. mouth of uterus which is liable to be thrust during deep sex/orgasm. It could be cervical erossion/cervical polyp . Pap smear needs to be done in case the gynecologist advises . Would be examined during internal examination by a gynecoligist.
Till then avoid sex.
