What Dosage Of Ondanastron Can Relieve The Discomfort Caused By Intake Of Doxycycline?

I am currently taking Doxycycline Hyclate 100 Mg capsules once a day. I cannot tolerate the mediation as prescribed on an empty stomach so my pharmasist suggested Ondanastron. Which dosage, the 4m or 8m tablet would help me the most to take prior to the Doxycycline or would you recommend something else instead?

Hi,

The dosage of 4 mg of Ondanstron may be sufficient. If you feel still nauseating then, you may take extra 4 mg (Generally not needed). However, it is always better to take doxycycline, in upright position and with a full glass of water to avoid any irritation to throat.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
