Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic forum.
Your baby most likely could be suffering from an infection due to which her fever is persistent. Also during fever the body can become dehydrated and hence the urination may decrease.
Ideally it would be best to consult her
pediatrician for a thorough examination and evaluation to confirm the diagnosis.Sometimes a course of antibiotics might be necessary to control the infection and
resultant fever which can be prescribed by her doctor after evaluating her.
Yes you can give boiled water to maintain hydration but remember exclusive
breastfeeding is always best for infants less than 6mths.After that you can start with boiled, pureed and mashed foods like rice, ragi, bananas , apples etc.For details regarding food preparations you can visit the www.wholesomebabyfood.com.
Also make sure you are giving the right dosage of
paracetamol according to her weight .The usual dosage being 10 to 15 mg per kg per dose.
Such dose can be given at 6_8 hrly Intervels.
Please do seek prompt consultation if fever persists or the baby develops any new symptoms like vomiting,
diarrhoea or cough or refusal to feeds.
Wishing your baby a speedy recovery.
Regards,
