What Happens If Gestation Age Is Less Than Menstrual Age ?
hi doctor.....iam 25 years old woman now i m pregnant and i conducted a ultrasound scan and the doctor said my uterus shows a single gestational sac and it measures .62 cms and it is 4-5 weeks and said my gestational age is ten days less than the menstural age and recommended for a repeated scan after 10 days is this a problem doctor ?im too much scared............please please help me immediately

Dear thanks for choosing health care magic.See ultrasound is done to know well being of baby inside.Usually the 5-7 days variation is there between the duration of pregnancy and ultrasound result depending upon the method of it and time of it.Less gestational age then actual means your baby is smaller then expected in growth.there are various reason for this.Some hormonal deficiency can lead to this.please take a 2nd opinion you might need some hormonal supplements for this.Please talk to your doctor about this.do not worry as worry adds to the problem .

There is always variability between scan dates and menstrual dates since time of conception is exactly not predictable.So please Relax.The scan is in very early gestation.You are asked to come back so as to see fetus(embryo-its heart beat).etc.which will tell if pregnancy is progressing.Take Care.

Hi doc.
Im 26yrs old married woman, have regular cycle of 30 days. We only take precaution during my fertile days (10 days) and rest of the days we have uprotected sex. Since last one year we have been practicing this method in order to prevent pregnancy. But is it any matter of concern that Im not able to conceive in rest of the month excpet my fertile days because most of the women conceive any time they have unprotected sex?
What can be my chances of being fertile or getting pregnant in a month if I have a regular cycle?

It's quite possible that you must have mistaken your last date of menstruation as one of the causes of this result. Do not fear. Relax. Take the Folic acid tablets as advised by your Doctor. Avoid long journeys or sexual intercourse for now till your next scan.
