mY FRIEND AGED76 HAS BEEN PRESCRIBED RAMIPRILL BUT FORGOT TO ASK THE DOCTOR WHAT THEY WERE FOR. HE IS TAKING 1.25 EVERY DAY. hE DROPS OFF TO SLEEP FREQUENTLY DURING THE DAY MORE SINCE TAKING THE TABLETS

Ramipril is anti hypertensive drug.It may be given as your friend may hypertensive or diabetic where is given for protection of kidney in some cases.Get blood pressure checked frequently and watch for it.only this drug could not lead this problem.also look for other things.
