What is a reasonable target for cholesterol for a healthy active 66 year old male with no other health complications? 6 ft. 176 lbs. Seems the M.D.s are continuously leaning to informing me about cholesterol reducing statins. Are they trying to create the synthetic blood profile in me of a 25 year old? My Ch. is about 200. They don't seem to know how to discuss diet disciplines with any sophistication.
