What Is A Small, Circular Sore Discolored Center In Pubic Area Suggestive Of?
My son has a small circular sore about 1/2 the size of a dime - its greenish grey in color and has 2 black pin size are in the center - it does not itch and is not painful but it has been there for some time now. It is located in pubic area just below the abdominal area - no other areas noted ? what might this be - I am a nurse and I have not seen anything like this before - it does not look infected
The small, circular discolored center in the pubic area may be part of compression hematoma from an unnoticed trauma or pressure over the concerned part. As you are nurse, best step to go ahead is confirm an appointment with his primary care and get prescription of an ultrasound of the soft tissue local part for final diagnosis. Till that time, local application of ice for 5 minutes each 3-4 times a day is best recommended to proceed for primary care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
