What Is Causing Dizziness In Boy Having Heart Palpitations?

My 12 year old son began experiencing heart palpitaions. His normal hr is 80 and during these episodes averages
about 130. No pain associated but uncomfortable. After he experienced 6 in a night we went to his pediatrician
who thought he was probably dehydrated and said to drink a liter of water every day. it has been 5 days and he has had approxiametly 3 episodes in last 2 days so there is a definite decrease. Also the palpitations are much shorter and by the time he tells me to check his pulse they are almost gone. However he has become dissy more frequently instead, and had a episode of dissiness lasting 45mins yesterday. We returned to the pediatrician who sent us today for an ekg. He is definitly in puberty btw...any ideas..i have a broken key on my computer...hence the spelling dissy!

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi... Palpitation is associated with causes such as anxiety, fever, arrthmyias, increased thyroid hormone. Is the child taking any medicine? Does he have fever? I think initially we should do an ECG. We will come to know whether this is abnormal or a normal transient phenomena. Following this ECG findings we can comment about the need of any further investigation. Let me know about the ECG report.
