What Is Causing Intermittent Sweats And Pins And Needles In Arms?
I am 57 and have been menopausal since I was 48. I have had a hysterectomy but I still get intermittent sweats through the day. I get around ten a day on average but none at night. Is this just normal flashes in relation to my age or could it be an underlying problem for something else. I also experience some pins and needles now and again in both arms. Will this ever go away?
For your health concern, the intermittent sweating you are experiencing is either due to menopause. Always wear comfortable clothes and keep the room cool. If bothersome you can take hormone replacement therapy to help with hot flashes. Regarding the pins and needles on both hands, you need to be evaluated for peripheral neuropathy with clinical examination and nerve conduction study. Underlying issues for peripheral neuropathy like diabetes need to be ruled out.
