What Is Causing My Mother's Severe Back Ache And Body Ache?
My mom aged 70yrs had been having a backache and chest pain for the past 2 months. Although she went to several doctors we could find the reason for her back aches. As of the last 7 days she lost her voice, and is unable to speak properly. When she visited an ENT specialist a couple of days ago, she was told that she is having infection in the vocal cord and was prescribed Predmet 4. She was already having Blood Pressure and Diabetes. She has been taking Predmet for the past 2 days and now she is having a severe headache and more body ache. Here voice is still not being heard properly. She visited another doctor who told her that her BP had gone very high because of Predmet and that was the cause for the headache. Can you please advise ?

predmet can cause fluid and electrolyte disturbances like Sodium retention, hypertension, congestive heart failure in susceptible patients, fluid retention, potassium loss, hypokalemic alkalosis.
it also cause flaring of infection and worsening of diabetes by increased requirements of insulin or oral hypoglycemic agents.
in my opinion you must take her to a doctor for tapering of predmet because sudden stoppage may precipitate withdrawal symptoms
