What Is Causing Sleep Disorder?

I had a sleep study done and I was told that I had frequent spontaneous arousal as well as snoring. It said that my sleep was not restorative and that I needed clinical correlation for management. What does that mean and what can really be done for it?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and sleep study findings.

These are suggestive of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

OSA can be managed by weight loss, if you are overweight.

CPAP machine trial to provide supplemental oxygen at night during sleep is also very useful.

In any case, you would get better with treatment and can have a good sleep.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
