What Is Causing Small Spots On Toes With Painful Lymph Node Swelling?
Hello, I was in Lesotho a few days ago and since then there are several tiny (3-5mm) spots at the base of my toes. My inguinal lymph nodes are swollen, I have fever, severe headache and my back hurts. Around the dark blue spots is swelling and they are quite painful. It started between two toes on my left foot and the left side lymph nodes, since today there is another small spot on the right side and also painful lymph node swelling. Cant recall a tick or spder bite happening. Any ideas? I am taking Ibuprifen for the pain and some Amoxicillin for the infection. Seems to work but only for a short time.
Hi. Thanks for an elucidate history. It is very difficult to say what are the bites about. But one thing is sure the poison or the chemicals released thereupon are toxic enough and have a great affinity for the lymphatic system. I would advise to have oral steroids and antihistamine to be added in addition to the medicines you are already taking. My advise depends upon the point that if one does not know the exact cause the said medicines will help to avoid a major problem.
Have blood and relevant tests like filaria on a safer side
wishing you an uneventful recovery.
