what is femoral hernia? I had a hip replacement on 27jan16, went home three days later, all seems to be healing well except now I HAVE THIS SEVERE PAIN IN MY LOWER ABDOMINE CLOSE TO MY UPPER RIght thigh, which is the side of my hip replacement. the paid is most severe at night if I need to go to the bathroom...once I am up in the morning and have gone to the bathroom the pain is relieved. I have been using an herbal tea for constipation just to be sure I am cleaned out before going to work and then the paid is gone until the next morning HAD I KNOWN TO BEGIN WITH THERE WOULD BE CHARGE FOR YOUR ANSWER i WOULD NOT HAVE BOTHERED YOU....THANK YOU VERY MUCH NO, I M NOT PAYING..THANK YOU
Femoral hernia is the protrusion of intestine loops via femoral sheath below the level of inguinal ligament along side femoral vessels. Though it is more common among women, the most common hernia in females is also inguinal hernia as men. One needs confirmatory ultrasound examination of the femoral and groin region to diagnose the femoral hernia precisely with underlying defect and needed course of action to cure it if it is present. As per your narration, I do not think possible femoral hernia in your case.
