General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Femoral hernia is the protrusion of intestine loops via femoral sheath below the level of inguinal ligament along side femoral vessels. Though it is more common among women, the most common hernia in females is also inguinal hernia as men. One needs confirmatory ultrasound examination of the femoral and groin region to diagnose the femoral hernia precisely with underlying defect and needed course of action to cure it if it is present. As per your narration, I do not think possible femoral hernia in your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
