What Is Going On With My Lower Back And Headache And My Muscles Also Twitching Again?

I have been having skin issues since august. Had an abcess diagnosed as a pilonidal cyst incised and drained. Given keflex bactrim and diflucan. Everything cleared up in 4 weeks. 6 weeks post I and d a rash in my butt crease returned. Powders creams gels etc did not work until the doc remembered I was told to use nair in the area to remove some hair. We used a steroid cream and within 2 days the rash was gone only to have 2 boils show up last week and a 3rd today. One on each butt crease and a third much bigger one under the skin fold where the butt meets the thigh. I ve been uber clean fragrance free since the initial cyst but continue to have relapses. A culture was finally taken yesterday and results should take a week but I m back on an antibiotic. The cysts don t seem to be getting worse but don t look any better after Epsom salt baths, antibiotic ointment etc. I m also putting ointment as directed around my anus belly button and in my nose. I m totally sressed out now that something is seriously wrong with me because I thought we had this beat with the steroid cream. Now my muscles are twitching again, lower back pain and headache. No fever or nausea. What could be going on?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can take drugs like baclofen for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
