What Is Leukocyte Esterase?
I just want to knw what is leukocyte esterase,i just had a urinalysis this morning and it turn out to be positive 2..the doctor didn t explain abt it,he just told me that i had UTI,and prescribe me a medicine..it would be my pleasure if u can explain it to me...thank you and more power

I really appreciate your concern, what kind of positive finding is there in urine is not mentioned here, Leukocyte esterase findings could be suggestive of infection it may be without infection and it may not be the final one for diagnosis but over all the clinical condition need to be correlated, presence of puss cell are matter of concern hope this information helps.
