What Is Loop And What Could Be The Reason For Loop Cord Around Neck ?

my wife is 31 weeks pregnant & US report impression is - Single live intrauterine pregnancy of 31 weeks (Cephalic presentation) with single loop cord around neck. FCP=164 BPD=82mm AC=244mm FL=59mm what is loop? its normal report?

thanks for choosing health care magic.yes it is ok.your gestational age corresponds with the age of child.so it is normal.The baby is attached to mother with a umbilical cord ,at mother end to placenta and baby end at umbilicus.Baby gets its nutrition from it.this sometimes coils around baby.at this stage it is ok,near term needs this needs care.
