Good morning, doctor. I live in a small town in Holland, I'm a 54 year old female, infected with limes disease 20 years ago, many problems with my health as a result. Recently I had to have a septum correction but the anesthesiologist called me a ASA 3+ plus patient so I could not be fully sedated. Several things went wrong during the operation, I asked for a copy of my file. They won't give me everything, but I have a page where it says; ECG SR. They won't tell me what that means. Can you tell me? Thanks.
Thanks for your question on HCM. ECG SR means Sinus Rhythm. Means no rhythm abnormality is seen. Your heart rhythm is regular and normal. In Lyme's disease cardiac conduction defect can be seen. So this may cause rhythm disturbance. So anaesthetics are concerned more about heart rhythm in Lyme's disease patient. So no need to worry as your ECG is normal.
