Just had a cystocopy done and came back suspicious. Dr. wants to schedule a CT uroscopy (sp?). Now all I can imagine is that I have either bladder or kidney cancer. Cystocopy was done due to micoscopic hematuria found in blood work. I will be 69 tomorrrow, 5'2 and weigh approximately 195 lbd with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Just worried that this could be a death sentence and know I will not be able to sleep tonight.
Hi, Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic. CT urography will tell about the condition of your kidneys and the ureter. With cystoscopy, we can only see the bladder. That must be the reason why he advised for CT urography. There is nothing called CT uroscopy, it is called CT urography. Apart from this, its difficult to interpret what problem you are having as nothing much is mentioned. Microscopic hematuria can be due to stone problem as well which is very well picked up in CT. Please don't be afraid and get the CT done. You can post back with results and then I can explain it much better. Hope it sorts your problem and wishing you a speedy recovery.
