What Is Normal Range Of Resting Heart Rate?

Hi, I'm 20 years old and I am very active, I am 5'9" tall and only weigh 130lbs. I am currently doing the Insanity workout program and I can get my heart rate extremely high and I am definitely more fit than my friends who have a resting heart rate between 50 and 60 (mine is usually between 80-100). I have read a lot about how a resting heart rate like this is unhealthy, and I am just checking to see if this is that big of an issue or if it's fairly normal for a very active person to have this.

Hi There

No it's NOT a big issue at all, stop thinking about this. Resting Heart rate varies between 40-60 but that does not mean who are having a resting heart rate of 70 or 80 is abnormal, Some people do have a high sympathetic drive due which their heart rate remain slightly on the higher side but that's not an issue at all as every body is unique. As you are telling that you are quite active physically so you need not worry about anything just maintain your healthy habits and enjoy life.

Wish you Good luck
