What Is Ovulation?

i never had sex according to my ovulation days it was always random but now im always trying to have sex mostly around ovulating. and also do ovulation start a week after your period ..im new to this ovulation thing lol..my period was only for four days when it normally is 6 so im praying i am..not to be to detailed but for the monthe of august if someone could look at their calendar and see the dates im hoping its a strong possibility idk to much about ovulation but i have been reading about it and i tried fertility friend and was so confused could someone help me plz aug 6-intercourse aug 14- intercourse aug 16- period started aug 18- intercourse aug 19-period end aug 24- intercourse aug 29- intercourse also since i came off my period i have been getting cramps here and their

In my opinion ovulation is release of egg from ovary. Ovulation calculation is possible only in case of regular cycles.Usually ovulation occurs on 14 th day of 28 days cycle, that is, 14 days- 28 days= 14th day. We have to deduct 14 days from the number of cycle days. For example if yours is 30 day cycle 14-30=16th is probable ovulation date. But 3 days on either side of it along with 16 is fertile period. that is,13,14,15 and 17,18,19.

But I suggest you to participate in intercourse daily or on alternate days to increase the chances of conception. Sex on particular days might cause some unknown stress. Avoid anxiety as it might delay fertility. So relax.
