What Is Stage 4 Lung Cancer Life Expectancy?
Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell carcinoma, 2 weeks ago. Insurance is taking forever to approve chemo. It has matastasized, 8cm mass in her lungs and 2 more 3cm on her lungs, her adrenal gland and her bones. Her oxygen got really low today during rest! 84 was the reading. Should I tell family that she doesn t have long? Every day it is worse. My son wants to come but she keeps saying not yet. I have heard this is one of the fastest-growing cancers.

Stage 4 lung cancer has got bad prognosis and life expectancy will be compromised. Complete cure is not possible and only palliative treatment can be offered.
