What Is The Alternate Medicine For Preventing UTI Instead Of , Acrodantin?
I am on macrodantin for preventing UTI I have IC for the last 3 years. I have had chronic cough and short of breath. I am seeing a lung doctor. My chest ct and PFT are normal. What medication can I take instead of macrodantin. I have stopped macrodantin for 3 months about 1/2 years ago and had 3 UTI in 4 months have had no problem since back on medication.
Thanks for query on HCM. Macrodentin contains nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria.Persistent infection indicates resistance for present bacterial growth. Moxifloxacin will be helpful for it. Intramuscular injection of amikacin will be helpful to get fast recovery. It is better to go for urine culture and sensitivity test before starting of any antibiotic.USG abdomen is advisable. Drink more water and other liquids. Keep in touch with your doctor.
