Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i find that i have to take a couple (2 usually sometimes 3) of tabs of fioricet a month for my headaches. it is the only drug that helps them go away. i m not a candidate for addiction nor overdose of the medicine. my question regards a possible restriction by the fda on the pill because of the tylenal side effects problem. i don t believe that fioricet has a large enough portion of tylenal to be a problem with this. i actually take the generic form but am unsure of the placement of the u and the i . :) i am a 70 year old man and am on hydrochloralthyazide, lisinipril, allopurinol and coumadin
A very good over the counter medication for headache with a similar composition is paracetamol plus caffeine, which can be taken upto twice daily and if the headaches a very severe then Tab Naproxen can be used. These are known to be very effective in migraine type of headaches. Sometimes lowering the dose of hydrochlorothiazide can help as dehydration is known to cause headaches. Please approach your physician with my suggestion
I hope I was of help
I wish you good health
Regards
