I m experiencing chattiness & mis-trust symptoms & am pretty sure it s my Dexmethylphenidate, 10mg, 2, between Noon & 2 PM. is there a safer drug for Narcolepsy? Could I slowly decrease to 1 per Day, then none at all? Don t like the new me , although it does work for my Narcolepsy.

Hi and thanks for this query,

Beside drugs, scheduled naps during the day help very much with narcolepsy. I will suggest that you consider this measure alongside your medications to see how well they work together. Then, you may want to slowly tapper off methylphenidate to lower doses depending on the results.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.
