Hi I am a 36 yr old female. I have had a number of fertility treatments in the past year. I am currently one cycle out from a failed 100mg clomid cycle with progesterone support for my minor luteal phase defect. My cycle this month with no fertility treatments was only 18 days. This is causing me a little concern, any thoughts?
Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion your cycles appear to be irregular. So the causes of irregular cycles like thyroid abnormalities, pcod, overweight, obesity, any stress should be ruled out.If there is no ovulation like in pcod then clomifene can be tried along with IUI along with luteal support with progesterone. This can be tried upto 4-6 cycles. If no response with this artificial reproductive technique is the last resort. But before going to them take treatment free interval for 3-4 months and try naturally.Avoid stress as it delays fertility due to hormonal imbalance.
