What Is The Best Way Of Getting Rid Of Vasculitis Pigmentation?
hi there, i've been diagnosed with sjogren's syndrome and vasculitis (some 2 yrs back) which has left my lower limbs with unsightly pigmentation.. i've done 2 skin biopsy with conflicting results.. One report reads schamberg's disease while the report states cutaneous vasculitis..( the sjogren's syndrome bit is confirmed after exhaustive blood tests by the rheumatologist.). My question: what's the best way of getting rid of the pigmentation? (my legs are constantly inflamed and painful even though i may not be walking about too much...Occasionally tiny pinprick spots or red dots will break out all over my legs..which then subsides leaving me with further pigmentation.. Am wondering whether I should resort to laser treatment to get rid of the ugly patches.. but which may of course leave me in a worse state. Am currently on plaquenil and occasional steroids (kept to its minimum 'cos of osteoporosis..) What other treatment options are there?(besides laser..). Please advise.. Thanks..
