What Is The Bump Inside Of My Throat?

Hi, I have a small bump on the inside flap of my palatoglossal arch in my throat. It doesn't really hurt, but I can always feel it there, especially after I eat. I was put on antibiotics because they though it might be a infected salvatory gland, but from my research there are no glands where the bump is. Any ideas?

Hello

I think the diagnosis is correct , as one of the common cause for swelling in that region is likely to be an enlarged minor salivary gland, another possibility may be a mucus retention cyst. Both of these conditions generally dont need treatment and will subside on their own. please gargle with warm salt water 2-3 times a day , this will help in early resolution.

Thanks
