Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have been having terrible joint pain for about 18 months. It has been getting worse and is all over my body (small joints and big joints). I also get very tired and muscle pain. In the investigations I have been diagnosed with cold urticuria, dry eye syndrome and bursitis in my feet. I get palpitations along with all sorts of niggles but the joint and muscle pain I d by far the worst. My blood test flag up all sorts of unusual things but nothing to point to anything in particular. Last year I had raised calcium and now my mean platelet volume is flagged at 11.7. My ERS is always flagged as low at 2. I feel like I am going round in circles. Any ideas?? Thank you.

Hi Thanks for posting My advise would be visit a rheumatologist as your Investigation and symptoms are suggestive Sjogren syndrome. In this most common is symmetric sensorimotor polyneuropathy . As far as treatment is concerned intravenous immmunoglobulin has shown promising results, along with vitamin B12 and prednisolone under Rheumatologist guidance. Take care and if you have further query i shall be glad to answer them Hope this helps
