What Is The Cause And Treatment For ADHD In A Child?
My daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. She has been on several different medications but nothing seems to work for her over three week period. She can take a new medication and then the medications just quit working for her. She can t seem focused on her school work although she is very smart. Top of her class. She does not Like to be in a crownd and not very sociable. What do you think I could do to help her with her schooling and getting her focused?

Main cause for ADHD is genetic prevalence. Certain exposures line cigarette smoking, alcohol used by mothers in pregnancy, viral infections during pregnancy or brain injury during or after birth are few factors that add to genetic factor.
Treatment mainly advised is behavioral therapy to child and parent education for child rearing. Medicines do play role but stimulants and non stimulant drugs are to be meticulously selected child by an expert neuro-physician. It should be followed strictly and observed for effects by parents and reported to treating doctor regularly to ascertain the best dug and dosage.
