General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is possible that there is a hereditary aspect of the presence of seizures. In general, if there is no identifiable cause that can be changed (eg electrolytes normal, no acute illness, no mass), then medication is started You should discuss this with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
