What Is The Cause For Pus Secretion In My Navel With Redness In Stomach Area?

My husband has a large area of his stomach protruding (hernia?) by the bellybutton area (a few days now) His navel is secreting a pus substance this evening and now his stomach in that area is turning red. He is going to the doctor tomorrow after work. Is there anything he can do/take now in the meantime?

Hi,

He may take antibiotic till he sees his doctor, augmentin for example. it seems to me that this problem has been for a while cause the hernia he has.
