H pylori is a bacteria. It is present in more than 70 % of the population. It is transmitted through the oral route. It mostly infects the antrum of the stomach(upper part). It is attributed to cause gastritis, gastric ulcer and gastric carcinoma. A course of antibiotics and Proton Pump inhibitors are prescribed for treatment.
